The 91st Annual Meeting was held in Omaha at the Hilton Hotel April 4, 2009.
Crystal Stuhr, CDA is President.
Maureen Mosse, CDA, 8th District ADAA Trustee was a guest.
Registration at the meeting: 24 Active Members; 8 non-members; 74 Students;
10 Life Members; and 1 Honorary.
The Aloise B. Clement Achievement award was presented to Crystal Stuhr, CDA of
Lincoln, NE and the Loyalty Award was presented to Clara Duesterhoeft, CDA Blue Hill, NE.

2008
The 90th Annual Meeting was held in Omaha, NE at the Hilton Hotel on
April 18-19, 2008. Crystal Stuhr, CDA is President.
The NDAA Inter-professional/Legislative Committee Members Marie Cecil, CDA
and Roberta Worm, CDA have had meetings regarding Rules and Regulations.
All Officers were elected for a second term to retain continuity of leadership
for Legislative purposes.
Maureen Mosse, CDA ADAA 8th District Trustee and Patti Ensey, CDA President
for the State of Iowa were in attendance at this meeting.
Registration for this meeting: 18 Active Members. 8 Non-members, 13 Life Members,
55 Student Members, 1 Honorary Member and 2 Guests.

2007
The 89th Annual Meeting was held in Lincoln, NE at the Cornhusker Hotel
April 1, 2007, Deb Garner ,CDA Omaha, NE.
President Garner, Marie Cecil and Roberta Worm have met with NDA Dental Practice Update Committee. The NDAA Legislative Committee are: Linda Keating, CDA Omaha, NE; Darlene Mundt, CDA Lincoln, NE; Delores Heyen, CDA Hastings, NE;
and Rose White, CDA North Platte, NE Member-at-large. Roberta Worm, CDA
has been appointed as NDAA Member to the 407 Process Technical Committee.
Deb Garner, CDA will serve as consultant.

Linda was awarded the Aloise B. Clement Achievement Trophy. Marie Cecil, CDA
Hastings, NE received the Dr. Cecil Mueller Loyalty Trophy and Tina Schreckenberger,
Student at Metro Community College received the Mary Haney Scholarship.
The Coronal Polish has been signed by the Attorney General. Creighton School of
Dentistry has an approved course.
Mike Gesch has been presented with an Honorary Member in NDAA.

The 79th Annual Meeting of the NDAA was in Omaha, NE at the Holiday Inn on April 16-18, 1997. Aggie Gesch, CDA Lincoln, NE was President.

The 73rd Annual Meeting was held in Omaha, NE , the Red Lion Hotel April 19-22, 1991. Nancy Tackett, CDA, Council Bluffs, Iowa was President.
The Aloise B. Clement Achievement Award was presented to Jody Miller, CDA, Omaha, NE. Margaret Seiber, CDA, Lincoln, NE received the Dr. Cecil Mueller Loyalty Award.
The Mary Haney Scholarship Award was presented to Dorothy Kinzie, student , Iowa Western Community College. Joyce Halberg, CDA Council Bluffs, Iowa was presented with an Honorary Membership.
A Radiology Seminar was held April 21,1991 in Omaha, NE.
NDAA has adopted the House of Delegates, representing all the Locals and out-state members.
Roberta Worm, CDA has been elected a 8th District Trustee.

20 Non-members; 59 Students and 6 Life.

1990
The 72nd Annual Meeting was held in Lincoln, NE at the Cornhusker Hotel April 8-10, 1990. Jenay Woita(Morrill),CDA is the President.
Emily Anderson, CDA Lincoln, NE was presented the Dr. Cecil Mueller Loyalty Award
for 25 years at the University Medical Center/Dental. Iris Eisenstadt, student at Metro
Community college was presented with the Dr. R.E.Dooley Student Essay Award.
Registration at the meeting: 67 Active Members; 16 Non-members, 6 Life/Special, and 57 Students.

1989
The 71st Annual Meeting of the NDAA was held in Lincoln, NE at the Cornhusker Hotel April 1-4, 1989. Roberta Worm, CDA was the President.
Joan Trimpey, CDA was presented with the Dr. Cecil Mueller Loyalty Award;
Roberta Worm, CDA , the Aloise B. Clement Achievement Award; Chris Knapp, the
Floyd Paynter Essay Award and Diane Ashbrook , the Dr R.E.Dooley Student Essay Award.

1982
The 64th Annual Meeting was held in Omaha at the Holiday Inn Hotel on April 4-6, 1982. Judy Helms, Grand Island was elected President.  Micki Marr is presented with the Aloise B. Clements Achievement Award.  The Legislative Committee remains active with recognition and definition of Dental Assistants. Penny Ronk, NDAA Editor, received the International College of Dentists Award for the NDAA Newsletter.  101 members, 3 Life, 83 students, and 33 non-members are registered.y index

1934
The 17th Annual Meeting of the NDAA was held in Lincoln at the Lindell Hotel on May 22 and 23, 1934. The President for that year was Mary Haney, Omaha. Aloise B. Clements, Omaha, was named ADAA treasurer and Ruth Morgan, Omaha,  was appointed to the ADAA Legislative Committee. Dr. Roscoe Smith, from Lincoln General Hospital, presented an "Xray Clinic" Thirty (30) members attended.

1933
The 16th Annual Meeting of the NDAA was held in Omaha at the Hotel Conant on May 17 and 18, 1933. Officers that year included Mildred Stevenson, Lincoln, as President and Mary Haney, Omaha, as First Vice-President. Aloise B. Clements, as 7th District Trustee to the ADAA, also attended. Dr. Arlo Dunn presented on "Radiology" and Dr. J.M. Prime presented on "General Laboratory Techniques." There were twenty-seven (27) members in attendance.

1932
On May 18, 1932, the 15th Annual Meeting of the NDAA was held at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln. Mildred Stevenson, Lincoln, is selected as President. Aloise B. Clements, Omaha, the 7th District Trustee to the ADAA, also attended. Dr. J.E. Thompson made a presentation on "Sore Feet make Sore Head." Forty (40) members attended.

1931
The 14th Annual Meeting was held in Omaha on May 19 and 20, 1931. Virginia Young, Valentine, continued as President. Other officers included Mildred Stevenson, Lincoln, First Vice-President; Pauline Stout, Aurora, Second Vice-President; Mildred Burcham, Lincoln, Secretary-Treasurer. The NDAA Board of Directors included Anna Wurm and Margaret Throckmortin, Lincoln; Louise Schultz and Aloise B. Clements, Omaha. Aloise Clements also attended the meeting as 7th District Trustee to the ADAA. Dr. P.T. Barber, Omaha, presented "Diet." Forty-nine(49) members attended.

1930
The 13th Annual Meeting was in Lincoln on May 20 and 21, 1930. Officers for that year were Virginia Young, Valentine, President; Bernice Rominger, Omaha, Vice-President; Margaret Throckmortin, Lincoln, Secretary-Treasurer. Dr. H.H. Waite from the University of Nebraska presented "Bacteriologty of the Mouth." Sixty-five (65) members attended.

1929
The 12th Annual Meeting was held in Omaha on May 21 and 22, 1929. Officers that year were Louise Schultz, President; Beulah Ager, Lincoln, Vice-President; Ruth Morgan, Omaha, Secretary-Treasurer. Attendees from the ADAA included Alois B. Clements, Omaha, 7th District Trustee, and Juliette A. Southard, New York, President of the ADAA. Dr. F. Blaine Robotham, Chicago, presented a paper on "Economics." Fifty-three (53) members attended.

1928
The 11th Annual Meeting was in Lincoln on May 21 and 22, 1928. Jessie Sturdevant, from Omaha, was named President. Aloise B. Clements, the ADAA 7th District Trustee from Omaha, also attended. Fifty-seven (57) members attended.

1927
On May 17th & 18th, 1927, the NDAA held its10th Annual Meeting was held at the Medical Arts Building in Omaha. Jessie Cook, President, presided over the meeting. Ruth Morgan from Omaha was named Secretary-Treasurer. Dr. C. F. Patton presented a program on "Setting Up Teeth." Thirty-six (36) members attended.

1926
The 9th Annual Meeting was held in Lincoln at the Lindell Hotel on May 18 and 19 of 1926. Officers elected at the meeting were Anna Wurm of Lincoln as President, Margaret Zurning of North Platte as Vice President, and Daisy Jones of Lincoln as Secretary-Treasurer. Aloise B. Clements was elected as the Delegate to the ADAA. Dr. H. H. Waite of Lincoln presented a lecture on sterilization. There were forty-one (41) members in attendance. These members voted on May 19 to affiliate the NDAA with the ADAA.to yearly index

1925
The 8th Annual Meeting was held in Omaha at the Billings Auditorium on May 19 and 20, 1925. Officers elected for 1925-26 were Marie Finnegan of Omaha as President, Anna Wurm of Lincoln as Vice President, and Ann Riley of Omaha as Secretary-Treasurer. Aloise B. Clements presented a clinic on X-rays. There were thirty-three (33) members at the meeting.

Formation of the ADAA
A group of dental assistants met in Cleveland, on September 25, 1925, at the invitation of Juliette A. Southard and Dr. Henry Fowler of New York, to consider the advisability of organizing a National Association. New York was one of the first states to form state associations. (As far as anyone knows, Nebraska was the very first state to organize.) A committee was formed and the first meeting was held in Dallas in conjunction with the American Dental Association. Daisy Jones from Lincoln represented Nebraska. Juliette A. Southard was chosen as the first President of the newly-formed American Dental Assistants Association. The first organized meeting of the ADAA was held later in Louisville, KY.

1924
The 7th Annual Meeting came back to Lincoln at the Dental College on May 20 and 21, 1924. Officers elected that year were Louise Schultz of Omaha as President, Eva Burnham of Fremont as Vice President, and Daisy Jones of Lincoln as Secretary-Treasurer. Dr. F. W. Albrecht of Lincoln presented an Inlay Clinic. There were twenty-three (23) members attending in 1924.k

1923
The 6th Annual Meeting was held in Omaha at the Fontenelle Hotel on May 15 and 16, 1923. Officers elected that year were Aloise B. Clements of Omaha as President, Blanche Jones of Hastings as Vice-President, and Della Felzien of Omaha as Secretary-Treasurer. Dr. Lester Furnas of Cleveland, Ohio, presented a lecture on "Full Denture Work in the Laboratory." Nineteen (19) members attended.

1922
The 5th Annual Meeting was held in Lincoln at the Lindell Hotel on May 16 and 17, 1922. Daisy Jones of Lincoln was elected as President. A clinic was presented on "Investing and Casting Inlays" by May Morris of Kearney. Thirty (30) members attended this meeting.

1920-1921

1918-1919
The first Annual Meeting was held in Lincoln on May 21 & 22, 1918. Forty-six (46) members attended. The members who attended that meeting decided to continue to meet at the same time and place as the Nebraska Dental Association. Elizabeth Mayo was elected as the first President. She served as President until May 1919 when Aloise B. Clements of Omaha was elected to succeed her. The Omaha Dental Assistants Society remembers Ms. Clements to this day by awarding the Aloise B. Clements Achievement to its members.

1917: THE BEGINNING
The Nebraska Dental Assistants Association can trace its roots back to 1917. While the United States was becoming involved in the First World War, dental assistants decided they needed to organize. The first organizational meeting of the Nebraska Dental Assistants Association was held in Hastings, on October 18, 1917, at the office of E.A. Thomas, D.D.S. Elizabeth Mayo of Gothenburg presided at this meeting.
